Tired of waiting ages for your computer to start up?

Most of the times, you're actually trying to speak to your computer while the windows boots up. It's common to hear people saying "Come on!" while effortlessly spamming the mouse button.

The desktop "loading times" can be frequently solved by disabling many applications that are running in the background.

Simply type msconfig in the startup search area. When the appropriate window opens, go to startup. You'll probably see a great amount of apps that are of no use to you. Simply check their boxes out and restart the computer.

This is a common method to increase a computer's performance. I'll cover a host of other methods later.

Stay put.

Having some spare time? Learn something about CPU's!

As a Computer Science and Engineering student, I'm forced to learn the basics of computer hardware. I've been learning the machine language these past weeks. What is machine language you may ask? It 's basically a language strictly made of 1's and 0's that is processed by the hardware. Every task and calculation that your computer is doing right now is actually based on this language.

This language is then "translated" (I'm not going to be specific about it) into a language that resembles our own, in order for us to be able to actually interact with the computer.

There are several articles and papers out there, but, if you know a thing of two about math and are interested in learning something about CPU Efficiency, I uploaded the slides that were presented to me in the course!

Enjoy :)
